X'mas request pt.1 ✻

Okay, so I've been thinking on updating the x'mas requests I made on dA here.
It's a slow update. REALLY =.= *darn you.. procrastination!*
BUT, I'll make it on time. No worries sweeties (:

Here's a little sneak peek of the sketches that have been inked so far:-

Okay, stop guessing. I'm not going to tell you which one is which. YET.

More updates coming up soon!

How to Color the Gorgeous Aoi-sama Face :DDD

Okay, it's how to color the face part actually xD

1. Color the base. For this I used #fff9e4. You may use darker colour according to your liking c: Oh, and by the way, you need to set this layer to Darker Color first.

2. Make a new layer. Set it to Darker Color. Pick a slightly darker or greyish color and change your brush opacity to 10%. Then start shading. For the large area like his forehead, neck etc, use a large brush size and make it smaller (I use 13 px) for details like I did for his eyes.

I know he looks like a sick, unhealthy person =.='
But things will get better after this :D

MY FAVOURITE PART!

3. Create a new layer and set it to Multiply. Pick a light red color. For this one, I used #ffc5c5. Change the brush opacity to 4% and you can start coloring it to his cheeks, nose, lips etc.

4. New layer again. This time, set it to Screen. Choose white color and you can start highlighting :D

and tadaaahhh~! Your beautiful Aoi-sama is finished :DDDDDDDDD

I'm really really bad at explaining things or giving instructions xD if there's anything above that got you confused, just ask me :D

# 001 - first post! wohoo! :D

Hey guys! thanks for taking your time visiting my art blog c:

For the first post, I'm giving Lingling's Rukaoi the honour to be the first artwork placed here xD

Below are the few steps taken when I draw. It may looks simple and easy, but it's actually a really time-consuming process. Especially with me being a lazy-ass xD

1. Sketch!
I always love my sketches to be clean, and less smudges. But when it comes to drawing some difficult posture (for me at least), it'll get sketchier and sketchier. Like this one xD :

2. Inking
Inking was hard for me. Most of the time, my sketches look a lot better before I inked them lol I started with tracing a thin line on the pencil sketch. In this process, the aim is to turn it from a pencil sketch into real a draw (of course! xD) c: since scanner hates pencil drawing :/

Here is the second part of the inking process. After I had finished tracing the lines, it's time to put details like shadows, hair lines etc. Ah, and don't forget to put your signature on. You don't want someone else claim your artwork as theirs, do you? c:

3. Coloring! :D
My favorite part. Coloring helps me to convey the feelings I want people to get when they saw my artworks ♥ I often starts with the hair. Cuz I hate coloring it xD

I paid most of my attention to their faces (obviously xD).

After adding some effects here and there, TADAAHHH~~~!

Me want Ruki's glasses D:
